Damon Gough aka Badly Drawn Boy, performs “This Electric” from his recent “It’s What I’m Thinking Pt.1 – Photographing Snowflakes.” The album is the first in a three part trilogy.
Photographing Snowflakes was the eighth LP released by Badly Drawn Boy during a four year period, starting from 2007. Before the release of Photographing Snowflakes, Badly Drawn Boy had played shows as part of their ‒ Self Titled Tour.
The band continued their work on both additional studio work as well as in 2009, with their seventh studio album with Sam Yeh. The studio recording preceded the release of Self Titled in March 2011. The album arrived in May 2011 with the single “Set It Off”, a collaboration with The Weather Girls. In 2012, the band, had begun recording a concept album entitled New Battery.
The album was released in June 2012 and was dedicated to Yeh. They remained prolific, releasing another two singles, “Dedication” with Popcaan and “Concrete in the Sun” with Carly Rae Jepsen. The next release from them was an EP titled What the Heart Eats in May 2013.
