minority scholarship 2019-20
Under the Minority Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme, the government intends to provide financial assistance to poor and meritorious minority students so that students can continue their education from class 1st to 10th levels and as a result improve the socio-economic conditions of minority communities (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Zoroastrian, Buddhist, and Jain).
The pre-matric scholarship 2019-20 online application forms are now available online for minority students. The government of India has introduced the Pre-Matric Scholarship for minority students. For continuation of pre-matric, post matriculation and merit-cum-means based scholarship schemes for the students of notified minority communities from 2019 to 2020 for which the budget has been already allocated for Rs. 5338 crores. The central government approved the proposal and now the online application forms are invited.
Students will be selected for the scheme on the basis of completion prescribed eligibility. Preference will be given to the students from BPL families having the lowest income in the ascending order. The renewal applications would be fully exhausted before the new applications are considered.
The Minorities Scholarship will be provided for the entire course. However, maintenance allowance will be given for a period not exceeding 10 months only in an academic year.

Candidates are suggested to read full Official Notification before applying.
- 30% scholarship is earmarked for girls students of each minority community in a State/UT which is transferable to male students of that community in case of non-availability of female students in that community in the concerned State/UT. 30% is the floor and not the ceiling for eligible girl students.

3. Merit Cum Means Scholarship For Professional and Technical Courses CS:
Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/ guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh.
