Buzzed Lists: Rolling Stones Top 10

“Who do you like more, the Stones or the Beatles?” As anyone who grew up discovering music in the sixiies will tell you, that was always the inevitable question. After the initial flush of pop stardom for both bands, the Stones cultivated their image as the bad boys you wouldn’t let your daughter hang out with. There’s no doubt the Stones lived more dangerously than the Fab Four, and their music reflects it. Although their live shows are still one of the biggest events on the concert calendar, their recorded output hasn’t been that exciting in recent years. But in the first half of their career they recorded some of the most exciting and important records ever released.

Here’s a list of ten essential Rolling Stones albums in order of preference:

Beggars Banquet
Exile on Main Street
Let It Bleed
Sticky Fingers
Their Satanic Majesties Request
Out of Our Heads
Some Girls
Tattoo You
