Arcade Fire Open UK Arena Tour And Grab Three Grammy Noms

Arcade Fire are hopefully celebrating today after they successfully kicked off their UK tour last night at London’s 02 Arena and grabbed three Grammy nominations for the 2011 awards, including one for the coveted album of the year category for their recent release The Suburbs.

In Los Angeles where the Grammy nominations concert took place, (Do we really need a show for this? Really?) the band were nominated in the following categories.

In London earlier in the evening, the band played a 17 song set and apparently Win Butler managed to make small talk with the crowd  about a number of things including the crappy weather sweeping much of Northern Europe right now. He must’ve done his research as the Brits LOVE to talk about the weather! See the set list and more details at NME.com.
